1051 He and his wife had 7 sons and 3 daughters, 5 of them being born when they lived in Virginia. Hugh (Jr.) witnessed the deed of Robert Ewing and his wife, Mary (Baker or Calhoun?) in 1755 in Augusta Co., Virginia on Jan. 24, 1755. Robert Ewing's land was in Roanoke and they had moved to Lunenburg before 1755 when they were in Augusta Co. for this land transaction. Likely relatives, James and Patrick also witnessed the deed transaction. Since relatives of the wife witnessed deeds whenever possible, I suspect Mary was the sister of James and Patrick and daughter of Hugh Calhoun. She is however, listed as a Baker in most sources. Hugh and family moved in 1757 to Long Canes, Abbeville, 96th District, SC with their Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

He received 200 acres of land in 1760 on Long Canes Creek called Calhoun's Creek near Fort Boone. He received more land in 1768 next to his cousin, William Calhoun's land. They sold the first 200 acres in 1777 to a relative and they moved to Berkley Co., SC to be near his brother, John Calhoun. Their eldest son John remained there while they moved back to Calhoun's Mills.
COLHOUN, Pvt. Hugh JR. YDNA E-M35 - E-FTA41789 (I10489)

1052 He and his wife had 8 daughters and one son. COATES, Adam A. (I9877)

1053 He and his wife had one son and an unborn child mentioned in John's will, dated Mar. 10 1713/14. His will was proved on Nov. 15, 1714. This John may be confused with another John Wells who died in 1680 whose estate was of wealth, with nod wife or heirs. (C-637) WELLS, John (I13248)

1054 He and his wife lived at 406 1/2 East 3rd St. in Erie, PA in 1943 and 1945 in that city's directories. He lived at 4035 Lake Pleasant Rd, Erie, PA before he died. His birthdate and address were confirmed as 1919 in the U.S. Public Recorex that was compiled in 2005. GIEWONT, Albert L. (I9670)

1055 He and his wife were first cousins. They appear to have married after their first son was born. BORROW, Humphrey (I13100)

1056 He and his wife were having children by 1834 according to information from S. Hollis@worldnet.att.net. However, his age is listed at age 38 in an 1860 census, making his birth year only 12 or 13 years previous to 1834. In the 1830 cenr Belmont Co., OH, he is likely the son who was age 10-15 years of age. I highly suspect that he was not having children by 1834. (CL-488) BENTON, Elmer Eli (I8272)

1057 He and his wife were living with their son, Dominic, in Crawford Co., PA in 1930. He went by the names Sol and Samuel Sr. in various records too. Samuel would have been his Americanized name. MARANDO, Salvatore (Sam) (I9458)

1058 He and his wife were married at Godfrey Atherton's home in Bircursteth, England. They lived in Great Sankey, Lancashire, England which was where the Warrington Monthly Meeting was held. John's occupation was linen-draper. According te's Sufferings, John and Godfrey Atherton, Thomas Hickock and Joseph Coppeck incited a riot and were imprisoned in 1683. He had at least two children named Nathaniel and Rachel. He might also have had a son named Thomas whose offspring came to PA in 1714. (C-1073) MINSHALL, John (I13988)

1059 He and his wife were named in a payment from Thomas and Mary OMallan in 1742 listed in the Ireland, Court Of Exchequer Bill Books 1627-1884. COLHOUN, Captain William Esq. & Burgess of Strabane (I11192)

1060 He and his wife, Emeline and 5 children attended the 1859 reunion. Since I had previously listed his wife's name as Esther, I am assuming he had 2 wives. There was one deceased member listed for this branch of the family at the reunion. COATS, Joseph Sr (I5542)

1061 He and his wife, Mary, had a daughter named Margaret and son named John Kutchmire. (D-116) John Sr. died when crushed by a boom crane while helping construct Sawyer Road. (D-57) He left wife, Margaret, one daughter, and one son, John. (D

KUTCHMIRE, John E. (I11719)

1062 He and his wives had at least 8 children. Several married into Glenn, Curry and Young families.

His will is abstracted as follows by Linda Baker in a 2010 email."1793 - March 7th - Augusta Co., VA Will Book No. VIII p54 (Vol. III p200) Will of Andrew YOUNG's father Robert YOUNG - Proved 16th April 1793...First I give and Bequeath unto Margaret my Wife a Cow and horse to be kept on the place with all the household furniture to be at her Disposal and her living on the place while she remains single to be maintained by my son Andrew with grain that will keep the family. Executors: son, William and George Glenn. Teste: John Denson, Samuel Curry, Robert Curry. Proved 16th April 1793 by John Dennison and the Currys." Infant at the time meant under age. There was no term for minor at that time. George Glenn, one of his executors, was the father-in-law of Robert's daughter, Margaret and son Robert's wife, Sarah Glenn. He was also a peer of Robert Young and likely trusted friend. (CL-468) The original is in Will Book VIII, p. 54, Augusta Co., VA.

Robert's estate appraisement is listed on Page 63 in Chalkley, Vol 3.--Robert Young's appraisement by John Dennison, James Young, Jno. Laur. July 1793.

The following info is from Sharon Young Jebavy. "Robert Young, d. April 1793, Augusta Co., VA, m. twice (there are deeds by him with two different wives given names, m. 2nd @ 1780)Children: Robert m. Sarah Glenn 27 Feb 1792 (d. of George Glenn) James m. Margaret Kennedy 1802 Rockbridge Co., VA, he died @ 1829, Rockbridge Co., (according to Morton), Andrew m. The following records from Chalkley probably applies to this Robert.*1759, page 36, Robert Young, son of John is delineated this way in the Merchants records.* D(eed) B(ook) 12, pg. 222, 1765 Robert and Jean Young.* DB 11, pg 256, Robert Patterson to Robert Young.*Page 420.--15th October, 1765. This record fits here perfectly except for the fact that Elizabeth is not listed in Robert's will. I suggest this is because he named all the children in his will by his first wife in his will, and felt that his 2nd wife would care properly for their daughter Elizabeth in her own will.
YOUNG, Robert Sr. (4th in father's will) (I8147)

1063 He and Phillipa married anywhere for 1503-1517 so she was the mother of only some of his children. BARRETT OF BELHOUSE, Sir John (I7065)

1064 He and Rebekka are listed as having a daughter Mary in 1741 in the birth records, but he wasn't listed as marrying until 1745. The 1745 marriage did not include the name of his wife. All other children were born after his marriage. T1 birth is recorded as the daughter of Warwick and Rebekka also. Warwick was a shipwright of Moyamensing, Pennsylvania. Warwick was described as living near James Keappock on Society Hill in Philadelphia, PA when he was helping rent a new 3 story home in the same place. He is likely the Warwick Coates who donated 5 pounds for the establishment of a hospital in Philadelphia which was reported on May 29, 1755 in the Pennsylvania Gazette. He, James Keappock and Richard Dennis were trying to rent a 3 story house with 2 large kitchens on Dec. 30, 1756 in this same newspaper. Warwick apparently had a son who died on Nov 2, 1758. He was not named. (C-1685) He or his son Warwick were in the 1769 Proprietary Tax rolls in Southwark Districk, Philadelphia Co. owning 1 cow and 2 servants. His will dated 1782 is in book S, p. 72 in Philadelphia Co. (C-1665, 1749) He was a Revolutionary War Soldier as depicted in the following DAR index. (Will book S, p.72.) (C-1768) COATS, Warwick (I14943)

1065 He and Sarah were twins. (C-748) UNDERWOOD, Stephen (I949)

1066 He and Susannah had multiple children, the four youngest being named Samuel, Sarah, Elizabeth and Susanna in Thomas Coate's will (their grandfather). (C-2151) GLADDEN, Joseph (I14740)

1067 He and wife Susanah had 9 children. They originally were members of the Sadsbury meeting until the Warrington meeting was formed closer to home. Benjamin was an active Quaker member, often assigned to overseeing (supervisory) positions.s in attendance at the Abel Walekr, Ann Vale marriage on the 13th d, 5m 1773 in Warrington Twp., York Co., PA along with his brother and nephew, William and William Jr. Underwood. Benjamin was in the relatives column... not a parent position, but more like an uncle or cousin relationship. He was taxed for nearly 200 acres of land between 1779-1783. (C-636) Benjamin is probably the Benjamin Underwood in the 1790 census in Warrington, York Co., PA with 1 male over 16, 1 under 16 and 1 female. Most of his children would have left home by that time. (C-578) UNDERWOOD, Benjamin (I12126)

1068 He apparently died without having children. His estate is divided amongst his brothers and sisters. (C-2297) PECK, Joseph (I54)

1069 He apparently was killed in Braco I'm assuming in battle. LESLIE, Andrew Third Baron Of Balquhain (I10139)

1070 He appears in the 1812 tax records for Gallia Co., OH. His likely sister Margaret marries a Mr. More in Gallia Co., OH in 1815. Her descendants have strong triangulations with my Mother.

He had 12 daughters and 1 son according to researcher Joy Stafford.

CALHOON, Robert Young Jr. (I19054)

1071 He appears to be in the 1830 census for Holmes Co., Ohio. (C-2455) TROYER, Michael (I9656)

1072 He appears to be the Alexander living in Monroe, Monroe, VA in the 1810 US census with 2 males under 10, 1 age 10-15, 1 age 26-44, and 2 females age 10-15, and 1 age 26-44. CLARK, Alexander J. (I2594)

1073 He appears to have been married twice. His birthdate has been suggested to be 1772 or 1754 depending upon which 2nd hand source one is viewing. He is probably the Philip Hetzer in 1786 who lived in York, York, Pennsylvania, USA (Septennial Census). He had a likely daughter-in-law named Mary who died in Oct. of 1866 in Reedsville, Ohio.

He came over on the boat with his father, mother and 2 sisters whom were younger than him landing in Phildelphia, Pennsylvania in 1737. He was applying for 50 acres of land in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in April of 1751.
HETZER, Capt John Phillip (I184)

1074 He appears to have followed his brother, John, to Paxtang, Lancaster, Pennsylvania where he purchased land in 1765. He died there in 1777. CALHOUN, William (I10471)

1075 He applied for citizenship in San Diego, California on Oct. 19, 1972 and gave his birthdate and place of birth on that document. He lived in Miliani, Hawaii from 1995-2002 according to directories. DIAZ, Sixto (I128)

1076 At least one living or private individual is linked to this note - Details withheld. DIAZ, Renato (I353)

1077 He applied for his Social Security number in Alabama before 1951 according to his S.S. record where it stated that he was born in Alabama. Both were apparently unknown by a relative who submitted the information as his application for Social Security in Sep. of 1940 lets us know that he was actually born in Florida. It's also where his parent's names are listed. He went by the name of Willie when he applied for a S.S. number. According to his cemetery stone, he served in WWII as a Private First Class. The US Dept. of Veteran Affairs in their death records states that he enlisted on the 4 Mar 1943 and was released on 21 Dec 1945. SHORTS, William Calvin (I23)

1078 He arrived from England about 1630 probably in Watertown, Massachusetts. He removed to Westhersfield, CT in 1639 and was a respected citizen there.

Personally I suspect that he is the Thomas Wright who was transported to Virginia by Captain Moore Fauntleroy before May 22, 1650 along with 5 children, a wife and maid. It was the same ship that Thomas Underwood came over on, though the ship is not named in the deed records where their names are included. It appears that at that point in time, the ship's master who transported persons to Virginia received large amounts of land for their efforts and the persons they transported are therefore listed in the deed records of Old Rappahannock Co., VA. If so, he died in 1700 on the Isle of Wight. (C-2394)

There is a William Wright who came to America in 1682 aboard the "Bristol Factor" from Bristol, England. He died in Dorchester Co., MD before June 6, 1686. He had a son named Roger Wright. (C-917) There is a Captain Nathaniel Wright who emigrated to Maryland, and settled in Queen Anne's County, about 1673. He left a recorded Will in which he mentions his brothers, Surgeon and Justice Solomon Wright, 1655-1717 of Kent County, and Charles Wright. All three brothers were born in England. It is not known if any of these are Thomas' relatives or not. (C-708)
WRIGHT?, Thomas Jr (I10392)

1079 He attended Attioch College for spring term in 1854, but died of Tuberculosis in 1855 according to Gallbreath in his Ohio Historical Magazine in the 1930's. He was listed as a farmer at age 18 in the 1850 Cedar Co., Iowa census records. COPPOC, Levi (I907)

1080 He attended his father's marriage in 1751. "Chalkley's VIII, page 340: Deed Book 7, Page 252.-7th May, 1751. James Young, miller and plantationer, to Sarah McMurtry, YOUNG, Patrick (I9187)

1081 He attended the wedding of his sister, Amey Coate in 1780 in the Kingwood Monthly Meeting, NJ. He is probably the William who moved from Kingswood MM, Hunterdon Co., NJ to Buckingham on certificate dated 13/11/1788. He declared his ints to marry Mary Coate Price that same day. He might be the William who was in the Philadelphia Co. 1800 Census records as being between the age of 21 and 45. There is information on a William and his brother John, that match this William and his brother John fairly well. The info from Diane at KDEEDID@aol.com estimates William's birth at 1763 with a death date of Sep 9, 1838 from a family bible. He was listed at age 75 in the bible. He lived in Chester Co., Pennsylvania. (C-2074) Goeff Coates has the complete family bible of this William Coates and his 2nd wife. It gives his birthdate as the 3rd mo, 27th day of 1764, whereas info from Parks give his birthdate as 3/26/1765. His family bible is naturally likely to be more accurate. It is theory at this point that William Coates married to Mary Hambleton in Humphries' "Pennsylvania Births" with sons Elisa and William is the same William that I previously had listed as married to Mary Coate. I've combined the two Williams as they both lived in Bucks Co., PA at the same time and had two known sons of the same age as well as a wife named Mary. DNA evidence would solidify this theory. It is still a question as to whether he had one or two wives. William and Mary Hambleton had their first child in 1799. This was William's second marriage. Their children are listed in the Buckingham Monthly Meeting records for Bucks Co., Pennsylvania. (C-2155) COATS, William (I14803)

1082 He became a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Navy. (F-462) FORTE, Maurice Stephen (I7864)

1083 He became a linen manufacturer. SITLINGTON, John (I9060)

1084 He became an ordained Priest for the Byzantine Catholic Church in Endicott, NY in May of 1961. He also was the family historian, but whatever information he had collected went with him. His sister, Mary, was told that the surnames ofk and Misulich in the Endicott area were cousin branches on the Mike Vovcik side of the family. OPALENICK, John (I1904)

1085 He became Earl of Arundel in 1243. FITZ ALAN II, John II * (I12814)

1086 He became Earl of Huntington in 1136 and was also the Earl of Northumberland. (C-1351) HUNTINGTON, Henry Earl Of Huntington (I14144)

1087 He became Lord of Hutton Conyers before 1398. (F-511) MALLORY, Sir William (I14185)

1088 He became the 1st of Kenmore in 1595. COLQUHOUN, Arthur 1st of Kenmure (I18834)

1089 He became the Duke of Burgundy in 1031. (C-1370) PRINCE OF FRANCE, Robert I (I642)

1090 He brought a group of people from Berne Switzerland to Sugar Creek Township, Wayne Co., Ohio where they establised a Swiss Mennonite called Sonnenberg in 1819. His wife, five daughters and one son were amongst the group. Another daughd son were born here. Peter along with many of his friends requested naturalization papers on Oct. 19, 1835 according to Wayne Co., Ohio naturalization records dated Oc. 27, 1837. They are listed from Canton Berne (Switzerland) in this record. LEHMAN, Peter (I6578)

1091 He brought his family from the Wrightsborough Settlement in Georgia in 1804. He settled one mile and a half north of Milton on Troy Road. He was one of West Milton, Ohio's early elders and did much traveling on the churches behalf in hiy years. They had a large family of seven sons and four daughters. JONES, Samuel (I9261)

1092 He built Josselin Castle which he named for his son, Josselin. DE PORHOET, Guithenoc Viscount (I1468)

1093 He came to Anne Arundel Co., MD from Virginia after his father died in 1659. His land was know as "Howard's Hope". HOWARD, Samuel (I5733)

1094 He came to Bedford Co, Virginia between 1735 and 1747 and was an elder in the Presbyterian Church. We know that he bought land in Roanoke, Va in 1749, moved to Lunenburg, VA and lived there from 1749-1755 and then died back in Bedford C. Tax lists and "Early Immigrants to Virginia in the 1500 and 1600's." give us this data. EWING, Robert (I10479)

1095 He came to Maryland in 1652 with his wife, and 3 sons, one of which was John named in his will. He is the progenitor of all the Turners in Maryland according to "The Colonial History of the United States." He demanded 300 acres of landansporting this size family to Maryland. He acquired much more land in the 10 years or so they lived in Maryland. His wife was unnamed so is unknown in Maryland records. His will was probated on Dec. 22, 1663. TURNER, William (I16820)

1096 He came to New Haven, CT in 1638. He signed the New Haven Compact in 1639. (F-62) He was an early but not original signer of the Fundamental Agreement of New Haven. His signature was simply an "H". He and Joseph Peck, a possible brother,he oath of fidelity on July 1, 1644. On Oct. 7, 1646, he and Joseph asked permission to cut wood on the commons. On Aug. 1, 1648, both were reprimanded for arriving with arms at the meeting house. They were excused in this case, since they had had night watch and had had no sleep. Another possible brother to this Henry Peck, was Deacon William Peck, also in New Haven of the same peerage. (F-64, 2297E) PECK, Henry (I15521)

1097 He came to this country in 1879 and was Naturalized in 1886 according to the 1920 census for Cleveland, Ohio. He might be the William Ward who immigrated to Boston in 1879 according to the Passenger and Immigration Lists Index. WARD, William (I6316)

1098 He came to Virginia before 1660 where he patented land in New Kent Co. It later was known as King and Queen Co. and is now King William Co., VA. He was named in his Uncle Philips will in 1661 where he was bequeathed Philip's plantationA. He was also named in his father's will probated in 1671. He was justice New Kent Co. in 1680 for King and Queen Co., VA in 1693. He also held the title of Captain in this record. By 1704 he was a Justice for King William Co. He or his son William had a will probated on Feb. 15, 1720. We do now know from DNA evidence that this Roger is not related to the Peter Mallory b. about 1623 of New Haven, CT meaning that this Mallory lineage absolutely has flaws in it which I will be re-researching as of 8/2008. MALLORY, Roger (I1845)

1099 He could account for a Hugh Calhoun paying tithes/taxes in Lunenburg Co., Virginia in the late 1740's along with other of his named brothers. CALHOUN, Hugh E-FTA41789 (I17351)

1100 He could be the following John who was a tenant on the lands in Tyrone's Muster Rolls in 1631.
