  • Notes
    • His name was also likely Ingalramus de Colquhoun.

"Colonial Families of the U.S." claims that James and Catherine Montgomery Calhoun who emigrated to America in 1733 were descendants from Humphrey. The descent they give covers almost 600 years with only 7 Calhouns to cover their descent. In other words, it leaves great gaps without stating the same. DNA matches to our family suggest otherwise. James married to Catherine Montgomery was likely a cousin of Hugh Calhoun who came on the same ship as James Calhoun in 1733 via DNA evidence. They both appear to be great grandsons of Robert Calhoun, b. 1622 of Ireland.
