• Notes

  George might have married his step-sister. Sharon Forkell believes that Mary was the daughter of James William Anderson and Rebecca Turk. Rebecca was George's step-mother. If Mary is her daughter by her first marriage, she was not a bloative to George. Somewhere after 1824 and before 1847, George and Mary moved to Monroe County, MO. It appears that Mary died in Missouri though no death record has been found. George remarried Elizabeth Riley by whom he had 2 more sons.
