  He is listed as William Sr. in the bible record. He is the William whom lived in Salisbury, Meigs Co., Ohio in the 1870 census records. It verifies he was born in New York. In the 1850 census, he was living in Olive Twp, Meigs Co., Ohio and is listed again with a birthplace of New York and the profession of Blacksmith. In 1860, they were living in Orange, Meigs Co., Ohio and in 1870 in Salisbury, Meigs, Ohio. By birthplace of his children, we can theorize that when his 2nd wife died, he moved to Ohio where he remarried. He left a will in Meigs Co., Ohio in which he bequeths property or money to his wife, his children: Amos D., Erastus, Jackson and Mary. All the others had probably died by that time. In the probate of his will, it states he died about July 28, 1889 instead. However, his probate was being executed on Jan. 16, 1889, meaning they got the date wrong in this document and that he likely died on July 28, 1888 as is listed in the bible.
