HALE, John 1 2
- Marriage: UNKNOWN, Martha about 1607
General Notes:
The parentage of this John Hale is not certain. If he is the brother of Thomas Hale of Watton then his lineage is known and as is linked here. Evidence supporting this comes from Thomas's will in 1630. It was witnessed by John Hale. The only known John Hales in Watton at that time were our John and his son, John. It is assumed that John Sr. was the witness on the will and was the right age to be a brother or possible cousin to Thomas. John also named one of his own son's Thomas which suggests a brother relationship over cousin because naming patterns included naming after one's father, self and brothers. However, it is worthy to note that if he was a brother to Thomas and his father was William, he did not name a son after his father. He had two great grandsons named William and three grandsons named John. (F-644c)
John married Martha UNKNOWN about 1607. (Martha UNKNOWN died about Apr 17, 1628 in Watton At Stone Parish, Hertfordshire, ENG and was buried on Apr 20, 1628 in Watton At Stone Parish, Hertfordshire, ENG 1.)
