Lores was married 3 times. I'm not sure yet it what order. According to the 1950 farm directory, he owned an 80 acre dairy, livestock and poultry farm located on Road #156, #1, Dalton, Kidron, Ohio.

He was listed as a clerk when he married. The 1930 census stated that his father was born in Scotland. This is a misinterpretation of the truth. His father was born in Canada. He and his wife had wanted to name their last child, if he was a boy, Stewart. This was because his family was supposedly part of the Stewart clan from Scotland. The Barr surname, however, is French according to his daughter, Virginia and spelled Barre'. He was a shipping clerk for an advertising company according to the 1940 census. He and his wife Josephine had one son named Robert. He might be the son known to Virginia Barr Hofstetter as Robin. She did not mention having a brother named Robert. The Ohio death records stated he was the Robert W. Barr who died unexpectedly in Maple Heights, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio on May 1, 1961. This was five days before his daughter, Virginia's wedding that was naturally postponed by the event. She and her father had just rehearsed walking down the isle in Bedford, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio when he went out to mow the lawn. He had a heart attack.

Robert married Mary Josephine HALL on 15 Sep 1937 in , Cuyahoga, OH, USA. Mary (daughter of William Frederick Arthur HALL and Naomi KUHN) was born on 18 Feb 1917 in West Lafayette, Coshocton, Ohio, USA; died on 10 Oct 2003 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, OH, USA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

She went by the name of Josephine. Her marriage record says she was born in Alliance, Ohio instead. She was a waitress when they married. She had coal black hair and blue eyes. She had a very precise handwriting. She died around age 86 according to her daughter, Virginia. Hers was a hard life. Her father left when she was fairly young, but as the oldest, she basically became the mother to her younger siblings because of this event. She escaped a fire along with her sister-in-law, Melba Barr, in 1937 in the rooming home they lived in. She had the burden of Altzheimer's at the end of her life. In 1992, she is listed in the Cleveland Phone books with the following addresses: 25021 N Aurora Rd #324, Bedford Heights, Ohio 44146-1101 and 13816 Granger Rd, Cleveland, Ohio 44125-1001.

He was age 34, born Ohio as were his parents in the 1910 census for Sugar Creek, Wayne Co., Ohio. He had a son with the name of Lores R., age 0. His wife's name was Lovina (age 30). They had been married for 8 years. They also had son, Sylvan, age 6, and Clyde, age 4 and daughter Cora, age 1 and 5/12. They were all born in Ohio. He was a farmer by trade. The census was taken on May 4, 1910. He was drafted into World War I at age 43 in 1918.

David married Levina GERBER on 8 Jun 1901 in Sugar Creek Township, Wayne County, Ohio, USA. Levina (daughter of Daniel GERBER and Dinah WELTY) was born on 10 May 1879 in Wayne County, Ohio, United States of America; died on 27 Oct 1954 in Kidron, Wayne County, Ohio, United States of America; was buried in Kidron, Wayne County, Ohio, United States of America. Amos married Ella LEHMAN. Ella (daughter of Peter A. LEHMAN and Barbara BAUMGARTNER) was born in 1885 in , Wayne Co., OH; died before 1930. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

She is not listed with her husband or children in the 1930 census so I am assuming she has died by that date.

He, his wife and oldest daughter were born in Canada and became naturalized citizens when they moved to Ohio, in the range of 1909-1912. He was a lineman in his first daughter's birth record in 1908. He was a lineman (in the telegraph industry) earning a wage according to the 1920 census record. In the 1930 census, he and his wife were living alone. It gives their same age and states that he was a lineman by trade. In this census, his father is listed as being born in Scotland, not Canada as the 1920 census had. He was not working at the time. His wife was employed as a maid in a home. His daughter, Evelyn and son Robert and son Melba are living in the household next to them. He registered for the draft in World War I. It is unknown if he actually served in this war, but he did enlist in World War II.

The World War I record gives his wife's name as Jane. He was employed by Sherwin Williams Co. They lived at 1437 17th St. in Cleveland. He was born on Sep 8, 1877 in Kingston, Ontario, Canada according to the World War II record. They lived at 3126 Prospect Ave. in Cleveland at the time. He was employed by the W.P.A. on Oct. 25, 1942.

He was 6 ft. tall, 240 lbs., had gray eyes and hair, wore glasses and had a broken finger on his left hand. The 1920 census was taken in Jan. of 1920, so he would have been 42 years of age matching this World War II Registration card. He looked just like Theodore Roosevelt even down to the dress. He worked with the CCC. He ran one unit. He was dared to pick up this huge tree trunk. He could never pass up a dare and this one ripped his bowels and eventually killed him.

His obituary in the Cleveland Plain Dealer was as follows: "Barr, William, beloved husband of Jane, father of Isabelle Clark, Evelyn Maxwell, Robert Barr and Melba Leckin, residence 3126 Prospect Ave. Friends may call at A.E. Brown Funeral Home, 8806 Euclid Ave. Services Thursday, Aug. 12, 2 p.m."

The following newspaper articles might possibly belong to this family in the Cleveland Plain dealer. There were many Barr families living in the area previous to this Barr family locating in Cleveland though Navarre, Nov. 16: Mr. and Mrs. William Barr and daughter spent Sunday with the former parents: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Barr.

She was born about 1879 according to the 1920 and 1930 census records for Cleveland, Ohio. In the 1930 census, her parents are listed as French Canadians. When William of Orange, Chadderdon saved William of Orange's (b. 1650-1702) life by taking a hatchet in his own body that was being thrown at William of Orange. Famous people related to this line of Chatterton's are ancestor, Lady Georgiana Chatterton who was a playmate of Queen Victoria. She was also famous artist and author whose works' are still available. Thomas Chatterton invented the kind of writing that Shakespeare became famous for. Ruth Chatterton was a silent movie actress - this Jane Chatterton's 1st cousin.

There is a current Lord and Lady Chatterton in England that are cousins. Architect Frank Lloyd Wright, Emily Dickinson, President Pierce and President Ford are all distanct cousins.

He registered for the draft in World War I on June 2, 1917. He lived on 5th St. in West Lafayette, Coshocton Co., Ohio at the time. He was married and taking care of his mother, wife and child at this age of 23. For profession, he said he was a machinist at the Fort Pitt Stamping and Enamaling Co. in Loccburg, PA. In the 1920 census his name is Fred A. Hall. Viola Carns is living with them in the 1930 census for Coshocton, Ohio, his sister-in-law, age 21. He is listed as a machinist by trade working in a shop. He died from dissentary from the water after a great flood. His daughter Mary Josephine was a senior in high school at the time.

William married Naomi KUHN. Naomi (daughter of Joshua KUHN and Ida GREENIZEN) was born in Jan 1895 in , , OH, USA; died after 1969 in , Coshocton, Ohio, USA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Her family was Jewish who came from Germany. They were lawyers and professors. Her husband thought she was unfaithful and left her. She filed for divorce the week of 7/8/1922 according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. She sited gross neglect and extreme cruelty. Hart and Krooler were her attorneys. In the 1930 census her past husband is living with a wife named Goldie and had his children by his first marriage living with him. This devastated Naomi to a point that she never fully recovered. Their daughter Josephine helped raise the family.

The divorce possibly never went through as she is listed at Mrs. Naomi Hall in her father's obituary in 1948. She lived in Barberton at the time. Naomi was buried in a Military Cemetery in town where her mother's side of the family was buried. Amber, Nina, and Ida Mae were all her sisters. Ida Mae Krause was her married name and she lived in Phoenix, Arizona. She wrote poetry and raised children as a governess. She published a number of books of her poetry. She lived with her niece, in Phoenix, Arizona when she was a widow to be close to family. Nina, Amber and Ida Mae came to visit Ginny in the 1970s. Nina was getting married again to an Wolgimaut??? who was superintendent between Wayne and Coshocton Counties. It is family tradition that someone in this branch was a general possibly named John.
