1051 He was living with his Aunt Regina and her 2nd husband, Leo McDevitt in the 1920 Philadelphia census. According to Jim Dudick's Gr. Aunt Mabel, Walter was raised by his Aunt Regina after his father died and his mother, Rosa, had to work in a wealthy family's home. By age six, Walter was too much of a handful for his Aunt's family. Walter was then sent to his cousin Julius and Katie Pringle Link's family, where he was raised by Katie Link until he was about 17. In the 1930 census, he is the Walter G. Zoller, age 17 who was working as a seaman in Norfolk, VA. He enlisted in the service in 1932 and went AWOL in 1933. When he was caught, he was placed in the stockades in Philadelphia for a year. Katie and her son Leo who was eight years younger than his 1st cousin - once removed, would go to visit him on Sundays in the Stockade. Walter apparently was always a difficult person. He later went to Las Vegas, became a member of the Mob and was a Pit Boss for a Casino in Vegas. He was working in Fremont Casino in Las Vegas when his cousin Regina went to visit him and was last heard from by Regina about 1979. He died in Las Vegas in 1995 according to his Social Security record. His funeral was paid for by his cousin, Leo Link, who grew up with Walter in his family. ZOLLER, Walter G. (I11509)

1052 He was named Earl of Leicester in 1324. He was a leader of the great confederacy which overturned the Spencers and deposed Kind Edward II. He was then appointed guardian of the new King Edward III as well as appointed captain-general of all the King's forces in the Marches on Scotland. In 1336, he was named Lord of Beaumont and Nogent.

This Henry is the father of Lady Eleanor but it is only deduction on my part that he is the same Henry who is the father of Maud de Lancaster. (C-437, p. 585)

1056 He was named the First Duke of Norfolk on Jun. 28, 1483. Also known as Jack of Norfolk, he was elected to Parliament in 1455, knighted in 1451 and named Baron in 1470. In that same year he received the title and office of Captain-Genearl of the King's forces at sea. He and his descendants received the honorary title of Earl Mashal of England. From 1467-1474 he was "Treasurer of the Household". In 1475 he fought along side Edward IV in France. He was given the honor of being the administrator for the estates for the Duke of Norfolk and Mowbray. When Lady Anne Mowbray died in 1481 without issue, Lord Howard was the co-heir of her estate. However, Edward VI stopped him from receiving this, instead giving it to his own son who had married Lady Anne after her first husband's death. When Edward VI died shortly after in 1483, King Richard III declared the sons of Edward VI to be illegitimate and restored Lord Howard's share of the Mowbray estates to him. He also granted Sir John Howard the titles of "Duke of Norfolk, Marshal, and Earl Marshal of England. In July of 1483, he was given the position of Admiral of England, Ireland and Aquitaine, Surveyor of Array in Norfolk, Suffolk and eleven other counties, Steward of the Duchy of Lancaster and a member of the Privy Council." He was killed at Bosworth Field in 1485 in service to his king. (C-862) HOWARD, John V Duke Of Norfolk (I10952)
