  This is the ancestor that most closely matches the predicted common ancestor by time in FTDNA's BigY results as of March 2023. He is predicted to have at least 4 sons. The John Colquhoun b. abt 1820 who was a prisoner transferred to Australia descends from his son Walter, Humphrey, Patrick, or Archibald as his other known sons explain other lines. My Mom, my brother and two distant descendants of him who have ancestor Humphrey Colquhoun, b. 1755 triangulate on chrome 16 on MyHeritage with this Humphrey, b. 1443. This indicates Humphrey Colquhoun b. 1755 does not yet have a correctly traced tree as they have 10 cM's in common which is possible but unlikely that the MRCA is Humphrey b. 1443. I've had that amount of cM matches with William Campbell Colquhoun, b. 1643 as a more likely candidate of where we meet up.
