  "Early Immigrants to Virginia" states that she was Mary Baker instead, d. of Caleb Baker and Catherine Hodwill. It is common belief that she is a Baker, but 3 Calhoun brothers witnessing a deed where her husband is selling land suggest ote. Women whenever possible had family representatives making sure her interests were considered.
