• Notes

  Charles probably helped establish a settlement known as the Little Miami around the year 1800 along with Samuel Kelly, Abijah O'Neal, James Mills and Thomas Horner. Charles's wife came with multiple Quaker families on certificate dated 9/25/1802. (C-1297) Charles appears to me to be the likely brother of James Patty, b. bef 1758 of SC who had a son named James who's daughter Sarah married Thomas Coate.
