  There is a William Tobin who owned 9 acres in 1840 in Monroe Twp., Guernsey Co., Ohio that might be this William though he would have been only 13 at the time. (CL-114) In the 1850 Washington Twp., Guernsey Co., OH records he is listed aeacher at age of 23. (CL-327) They lived there in 1851 according to the tax records for Guernsey Co., Ohio He died in the mines (presumably gold mines) of California at an unknown date. (CL-327)
