• Notes

  Old Mill is the birthplace listed for him in the 1881 census and it sounds a lot like the birthplace of his possible cousins which were Adenhill, Hayden Hill and Old Hill all in co. Worcestershire, England. However, in the earlier 1861 census, which is more likely to be correct it lists his birthplace as Rowley, Staffordshire, England. It is however, the birthplace listed for most of his siblings at that point in time.
