  She was known as Mamie Smyers as an adult. She was not living with her parents in the 1880 census when she supposedly was about 4 years of age when the census was taken. She is possibly the Mary J. Smyers living with her daughter, Isabeln's family in the 1930 census for Chicago, Cook Co, Illinois. Her age was 54 and her birthplace is given as Indiana. Her birthplace is what is not likely to match our Mary Jane Coate Smyers.
