• Notes

  He had the title of "Protector of England". (C-330) His father died when he was quite young and he was taken under the care of the Countess of Westmoreland. The War of the Roses occurred a year after he was appointed by King Henry VI asctor of the Kingdom. He was killed at the Battle of Wakefield in 1460.
