Notes - This John could be one of two John Coppocks in the 1800 Newberry Co., Census records. The first was between ages 26 and 45. His wife was between 16 and 26 and they had two daughters under age ten. The second lived near John Coppock, Sr.as also between 26 and 45 with wife the same, and 3 sons and two daughters under ten. It is sometimes listed that he had up to 4 wives, but this honor goes to his grandson, John, instead. (C-931,1430) In any case, he and his wife had a total of 7 children.
