A complaint was filed against a James Vestal on Dec. 1, 1751 in Cane Creek MM, for marrying out of meey a Justice of the peace and for taking strong drink. It likely refers to this James. He was living in Chatham Co., NC in 1753. He was in the tax payer lists in 1755 in Orange Co., North Carolina. He married three times.
