- Charles R. was in the 1900 census twice. On June 4, he was a boarder at Marguerite Patton's home in Tuscarawas Twp., Coshocton, Ohio and listed as a coal miner. On June 12, he was living with his parents in the 1900 census and is again listed as a coal miner by trade, though his father was a farmer. He is likely to be the Charles Hall who enlisted in the infantry in Wheeling, West Virginia on Mar. 24, 1904. He said he was born in Coshocton, Choshocton Co., Ohio. He was a miner by trade. He was 5'8" tall with dark brown hair and a fair complextion. He was discharged on March 23, 1907 in Georgia.
