  In the 1820 census, there is a James Gaskins between the ages of 16 and 26 living in Gallipolis, Ohio next to a 16 to 18 year old Rheuben Gaskins. There are no other members of either of their households except 1 female slave in each household from the age of 14-25. Both males are engaged in agriculture.
