  • Notes
    • His cemetery stone that now stands in West Milton Cemetery was put in by his son John, and it replaced an earlier simpler stone. He was a sober, thoughtful, steady man according to Mote's 1880 recollections. He lived on the state road one mile east of the cemetery. He was a regular attender of West Branch Monthly Meetings. Like many of the pioneers, his fairly early death was brought on by excessive labor of the pioneer days.
