• Notes

  According to "Mayflower Births and Deaths", Samuel remarried the same day his wife Mary (Hilliard) died. This obviously seems suspicious, but he did have a 10-day old infant at that time that would have needed to be tended to as well as his other children. His tombstone is partially buried covering up his age and his 2nd wife's age. It or some unfound source says he was 89 at the time of his death and his wife was 83. Both of these ages would be quite elderly for the times. I am unable to verify his birth year or parentage or place of birth in Freereg.uk.org with the parentage given for him.
