• Notes

  He is listed as a "dyer" in his son's 1704 baptism and as a victullar by profession by his daughter, Mary's christening in 1706. According to Wikipedia a victullar is a person whom "supplies food, beverages and other provisions for the crew of a vessel at sea." He temporarily went back to being a dyer in 1716 and was a Victualler by 1718 again.
