• Notes

  He came to Maryland in 1652 with his wife, and 3 sons, one of which was John named in his will. He is the progenitor of all the Turners in Maryland according to "The Colonial History of the United States." He demanded 300 acres of landansporting this size family to Maryland. He acquired much more land in the 10 years or so they lived in Maryland. His wife was unnamed so is unknown in Maryland records. His will was probated on Dec. 22, 1663.
