  He died when he was 45 so he highly likely had a wife and children though I haven't found anyone who knows with certainty. If he is the ancestor of this hypothesized lineage, the first time his ancestry meets up with the other Colquhouns in Ireland would be in the 1300's by FTDNA's time estimations which have gotten close to accurate when I'm comparing it across various surnames. That means he is not the son of Robert Colquhoun, b. 1622.
