  • Notes
    • Per Lewis W. Griffin: The will of Walter Colepepir mentions daughter Elizabeth Welford, and the will of Walter's wife, mentions daughter Elizabeth, wife of Thomas Wylford. The line is going back to Charlemagne. There is a complete report on the early English Culpeppers, from the hard to find article "Sussex Colepepers" from the 1904 volume of "Sussex Archaeological Collections." The research back to Charlemagne was done by a U. S. graduate student while in London for a six months study, in her spare time. Sources: Per E-mail from Lewis W. Griffin 70252, 1357, 4242 North 32nd Street #6, Phoenix, AZ 85018-4741. Tel.: 602 955-2338.
