  This was an entry at the Archives of Maryland, from May, 1686. "Robert Errickes Wife for Abuseing Elizabeth Thorpe." Elizabeth's mother had left the family by 1685, and it appears that Elizabeth was under the improper care of Robert Errickes wife.
