  He is believed to be the John who purchased 100 acres of land in Lancaster Co., PA in 1746. He had 2 children according to "Colonial Families of the U.S.". He could be the John who left a probate record in 1750 or 1754 in Lancaster Co., PA with references of B 1 84 or B 1 68. The John who died in 1754 was supposedly born abt. 1690 according to a YDNA Calquhoun Family Project member of unproven origin and would be an Uncle to him instead. He also died in Paxton Twp. which is 50 miles from Chestnut Level, PA.
