  • Notes
    • Elias in his Civil War enlistment papers stated "For 20 years immediately preceding my enlistment into the service of the United States on the 22 day of August, 1862, I resided in the following-named places: Vianna, Darke Co., Ohio." Itd be noted that this was in south central Franklin Twp., Darke Co., Ohio right near where Silas Pearson lived and grew up. Silas Person married Susannah Coats, Elias' sister. In the 1840, 1840 and 1860 census records however, Elias is always found in the Miami Co. census records. Possibly he or his family lived mostly in Darke Co., Ohio but just happened to be working in Miami Co., Ohio during census years or summer months.
