  Known as Muircheartach of the Leather Coats and Hector of the Western World. He was recognized by his distinctive long yellow hair. The nickname was associated with a leather jacket he invented that served as armor for his warriors. Muircheatach turned the tide of Viking invaders extending the defense of Ireland into Viking territory in Scotland.
