  Michael was likely born in Ireland or England. His first son was born about 1635 in Flushing, NY. He lived in Eastchester, NY when his second son was born in 1638. He was in Portsmouth, NH in 1640. In 1645, he was listed as a creditore estate records of Wm Lotham in CT. Savage states that he was the father of William Chatterton of New Haven.
