Notes:

Sometime after son John was born, Anna took children Anna and John and returned to Nevitske, (Nevicrke) Czechoslovakia. She remained there the rest of her life. Ken Anderson just recently supplied the marriage record of Mihaly and Anna only to find out that she was a Dudik also. Mihaly Vovcsik and his sister Maria Vovcsik married relatives Anna and our Gyorgy Joseph Dudik. I say this because Neviczke was a one road small town. All the Dudik's in it are highly likely to be relatives. Anna Dudik is nearly 20 years younger than Joseph and could be a much younger sister, a niece or cousin of our Gyorgy Joseph Dudik by age.

Anna married Mihaly VOCSIK, Jr. on 10 Nov 1902 in Neviczke, Ung, Ungvasi Jaros, Magyar (Now In Ukraine). Mihaly (son of Mihaly VOVCSIK and Maria BOGDAN) was born on 15 Feb 1878 in Neviczke, Ung, Ungvasi Jaros, Magyar (Now In Ukraine); died on 28 Dec 1968 in Ludlow, Mckean, PA, USA; was buried in Calvery Cemetery, Johnson City, Broome, New York, USA. Notes:

There is a note at the end of her christening record that could easily be her death date, but I need a translator to verify that. Note that her birth parents look like they are Mihaly Vovcsik and Anna, but it is very difficult to read. This could easily be wrong as she would have been born years before her parents married. One of the witnesses at her christening was Marie Dudik (her grandmother?).

Notes:

Though born in Pennsylvania, in 1933 she was residing where her parents came from, in Nevczke, Czechoslovakia according to her father's petition for citizenship. Her niece, Mary Opalenick Fabrizio never met her, but was told she stayed in the Czech Republic with her mother.

Notes:

According to Marilu Gordon, wife of John's grandson, John moved back to the Uzhhorod area with his mother as an infant. He came back to the U.S. at the age of 18 being able to speak 6 languages. He "was a fine man". He also was a wonderful cook and opened a restaurant in Endicott, NY. "He had a thick old world accent." My children's gr.grandfather could remember eating in his restaurant.

Notes:

He became an ordained Priest for the Byzantine Catholic Church in Endicott, NY in May of 1961. He also was the family historian, but whatever information he had collected went with him. His sister, Mary, was told that the surnames of Kothick and Misulich in the Endicott area were cousin branches on the Mike Vovcik side of the family.
