He is possibly one of the two Lawrence Podgers buried in 1703 in Curry Rivel. However, he was not named in his grandfather, William's will dated 1658 so it's more likely he died before 1658. His name was in Latin as many of the names in those records were in Latin.

Notes:

He is possibly the Johannes Podger who was buried in Curry Rivel, Somerset England on 3 NOV 1677 who is listed as the son of Marmaduke. Many of the names in this listing were written in there latin form. I think this is more likely to refer to a young son of John's brother, Marmaduke though.
