    There is another Ann Coate that died in 1674 in Curry Rivel who is an unaccounted for wife of a Coate. We only know of two Ann Coate's at the time. One was Ann Pole who was married to the Marmaduke Coate that moved to Burlington Co., NJ. The other is this one.

    It is theory that this Marmaduke was the Marmaduke of that time period who had a wife named Rebecca and 2 known children in Curry Rivel, England.

    It is theory that he is the son of Marmaduke and Rebecca. His parents do not have a match in Drayton where he had his sons. If this is correct, he would have named his son Thomas after his father's Mother's father, his gr. grandfather. I have not found another John in Free Reg records that could bit him.
