    Edgar was chosen to be King of England by Witan on Harold's death. He held the title from Oct to December of 1066, but was never officially crowned King. In 1068, Edgar and mother, Agatha, were traveling by ship to seek safety in Hungary from political turmoil at home. The ship hit bad weather and crashed into the "Firth of Forth" assumingly killing the Englishman on board. (C-1207)
