1715 Ltr From Thomas Jameson to his uncle Richard Jameson
The original document was sold at auction in England in 2006 or 2007. Auction company was contacte who provided me the name of the current owner who was kind enough to make a photo of the letter and sent it me electronically. There is documentation in the Lancashire records that Thomas, Mary, brother John and wife, William and wife along with sister Anne returned to claim an inheritance. SEE http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/a2a/records.aspx?cat=055-dp&cid=-1#-1 This May 25, 1715 letter was written by Thomas to his Uncle Richard Jameson who was a priest in Ashton in Makerfield, near Wigan in Lancashire, England to advise him they had made it safe back to Maryland.
